Well, am I ever embarrassed. Here it is October 4, 2009 and Echoes of Chaos is not even half finished. Since I retired, I have been 'playing' a lot. I was fortunate to be able to spend a great deal of time with 3 of my grandsons over the summer. I bought summer passes to Adventure Island and we spent most Wednesdays on the water slides.

Now that summer is over, I still have two little league games to attend every Saturday. And while I thought my home was in good shape; I've had one project or another going on, every week for the past two months. I am rounding the club house turn, I'm going to re due the bathroom floors and paint the exterior of the house - and - I Will Be Done!

I did get a little writing done over the summer; Echoes of Chaos is up the 31,800 words. I'm shooting for 110,000 plus. And I have come up with the major plot for book number five: Echoes of Enchantment (title subject to change).

I am also not as motivated to blog as I should be, due to my small audience (lame I know) but I will be working to overcome that excuse. I am looking into Internet Marketing.

Diverisons & Derailments

For me, it's been a very interesting two weeks. I had to deal with a major plumbing problem, and an auto collision (I am a-okay and now, so is my car); one more day will finish up the plumbing issue.

I should be back at the keyboard on Monday, June 15, 2009. We have reached the point, where all of the prelims are completed, and we can get into the meat of one of the major plot lines. Did I just allude to more than one plot line???

E Book Covers - 5/21/09

Howdy,

I am in the process of creating E Book Covers for my books. Covers, that represent a prominent aspect of the story. The first two covers, are complete, and can be seen on my web site at: robertjacobi.net. The size of the covers, on the web site, are a little smaller than I like; so I am having them blow up.

The cover for the third book - Echoes of Destiny - also available for sale and your reading enjoyment as an E Book, will be loaded on the site by Monday the 25 (??). The cover for the fourth book, which I just started writing on May 4, 2009, will follow by a few days, the time frame is in flux.

If you enjoy Science Fiction - you will enjoy - my books. I am so confident in this statement. My name is Robert Jacobi – Bob – to my friends; please call me Bob.

Today, May 19, 2009, will be the launch date, of my first and only Weblog = BLOG.

I am the author of the Jarzen Tadel Series. A new - in the marketplace - offering in the genre of Science Fiction; however, my novels, while definitely Science Fiction based, also offer a healthy dose of action, adventure, mystery, intrigue and romance!

My books are aimed at an audience of both sexes, from 16 years of age and older.

My Blog will be written and posted without editorial proof reading support. Yes, that is correct; it's just the raw version of me.

I believe a good place to start, will be with a brief profile of me, and what led me to sit down and put fingers to keyboard, and to create what I have been told is new, fresh, hard to put down Science Fiction.

About the author: I am a 62 year old Certified Hotel Administrator – a CHA. I have spent nearly 40 years in the hospitality/lodging industry. I have managed restaurants, hotel food and beverage departments, and lodging operations from 180 room popular branded hotels to 400 room Four Star/Four Diamond Independent Resort Hotels.

I have two great married children: A daughter, who has given me four amazing grandsons, from one year old to 15 years old; and a son who tells me he is working on producing grandchildren.

I live in the Great State of Florida and I am currently between relationships. And I am okay with that, for now.

So why did I sit down to write a book?

I have always been an avid reader. I quickly discovered, I enjoyed science fiction with a little fantasy thrown in from time to time for variety. After having read a great many science fiction books, the sameness of each storyline began to become predictable. I was also able, in many cases to determine the books final outcome by the midway point.

In order to be a good writer, you must first be a good storyteller. You must have a Great Imagination, and be willing to do the necessary research, to keep the story in the realm of the credible.

I believe, I have a great imagination, and I also believe I am a good story teller; sooo, I decided to give it a try.

To date, I have written four books. One on management and three in the genre of science fiction: the Jarzen Tadel Series; I have just finished the outline for the fourth book in the series.
